Facts: A Quick Look

Why I created this Blog: 

  • To Raise Rare Disease Awareness.
  • To inspire people to make donations to the Vasculitis Foundation.
  • To raise money for my climbing expenses.
  • To show that we can reach for our dreams – no matter the obstacles. The only limits we have are the ones we place on ourselves! 
  • To impress upon people the value of life. Life is for living, loving, and experiencing everything and everyone in our world or other worlds (Yes I would like to walk on the Moon, but that is for another day).

About Me:

  • 51 year old female, wife, and mother.
  • Diagnosed with Limited Wegener’s Granulomatosis August 1, 2007.
  • Functionally blind in left eye (from disease).
  • On a immunosuppressant medication to control disease. 
  • Part-time faculty at California State University, Fullerton teaching in the Health Science Department.
  • Master of Science  in Kinesiology, California State University, Fullerton.
  • Maintain an income tax preparation business with my husband.

My Hobbies:

  • SCUBA Diving
  • Ballroom Dancing
  • Mountain Climbing
  • Underwater videography
  • Loving my wonderful husband of 19 years.
  • San Diego Chargers season ticket holder for 25 years.

  • SCUBA Divemaster, CSUF, 1992 to Present.
  • First Aid and CPR Instructor, American Red Cross, 1993 to 2002.
  • Graduate-Student Member, Institutional Review Board, CSUF, 1993 to 1996.
