Reaching Beyond the Clouds

WOW! I just received pictures of a bake sale going on right now at CSUF to help raise funds for my climbing costs. It was put on by the President Jordan and students from Eta Sigma Gamma Honors Society with help of staff and faculty! It all looks so good and what a wonderful presentation.

Thank you to everyone involved: I cannot tell you how much your support means to me!

A few days ago I was completely surprised by the wonderful people I work with at CSUF. I had just finished teaching for the day and, in between their classes, several staff, faculty, department chairs, and students came into my class room to give me a quick send-off party. They presented me with a giant card, flowers, and a generous gift! Like I have said before: I have a wonderful support system.

Yesterday several girls from Girl Scott Troop 499 brought me some Valentine’s Day cards that they had made for me. So, I took the cards to the summit with me to show how much I liked them.

I summited Mt. Baldy today with a Rare Disease Day sign. I am still trying to get California to recognise Febuary 28th as Rare Disease Day.
