Reaching Beyond the Clouds

My daughter helped make these gift baskets that will be part of a fund-raising event at the International Vasculitis Symposium July 30th to August 1st.

The week after returning home from Mt. Everest Larry, my husband, approached me about returning to climb Mt. Aconcagua (the tallest mountain in South America).  In early January 2008 we had to abort summit due to high winds and on the descent (at about 19,000 ft) I fell and broke my leg. I hiked 5 hours down to base camp and was helicopered out the next day.

Well, in December we will return to climb Mt. Aconcagua. I hope the weather will be a little better.
