Back in Kathmandu!

by CindyAbbott on May.28, 2010

WOW is it great to be back in a city! You have no idea what it is to live at 17,500 ft for five weeks in a tent.

I am working on a event-outline but it will be delayed because we just found out that we are in a parade in the morning, get a metal in the afternoon, and then there is a summiters’ party in the evening!

Now is a good time to say that without our wonderful Sherpa Team, none of this would have been possible!

And also, I have attached a reminder of the serious nature of high-altitude climbing. This was the last thing we saw before leaving base camp.

Celebration after returning to base camp.

Wow! God Bless the Sherpas and for the blessing of your team’s safety & success! Hope you will make it to the Vasculitis Conference in Long Beach @ the end of July. Just booked the hotel today! Hope we get to meet at some point!
